Jelena has been working as a psychologist with Advance Healthcare since 2021. She is trained as a clinical psychologist and gestalt psychotherapist in Europe (Serbia, Italy, Malta and Germany).

In Australia, Jelena obtained her registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a general psychologist. Jelena also completed Master of Clinical Psychology in Australia and she is currently on clinical psychology registrar program. In addition, Jelena is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.

Jelena has been involved in psychology courses, psychology and psychotherapy education, supervision, academia and research for more than 20 years. She taught at Charles Darwin University and Australian College of Applied Psychology and was involved in writing the training standards for the psychotherapy profession in Australia. Her European experience included many academic, research and leadership positions in psychotherapy and psychology.  She is a Visiting Professor at American University of Cyprus. Jelena also founded Gestalt Healthcare to promote holistic and phenomenological approach to mental health. She is an active researcher interested in the relationship between neuroscience, attachment and gestalt therapy.
