Physiotherapist

BAppSc(Phty)(Hon)

Clinic: Boronia

Lin graduated from the University of Sydney with a first-class Honours degree in physiotherapy.

During her study, Lin had experience working in both public and private settings across disability support, sports injuries, cardiorespiratory, neurological and post-operative rehabilitation. She worked with local soccer players providing game preparation and on-field support.

In conjunction with theory, Lin was also overseeing and contributing to research in cardiorespiratory during her course. She was involved in a study on gait retraining and knee osteoarthritis management as part of the Sydney Scholar Research program and presented her findings at the Sydney MSK conference afterwards.

After graduation, Lin worked in private practice and community settings in both Sydney and Melbourne. She worked with clients with both chronic and acute conditions from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. By assessment, goal setting and providing her clients with education and tailored treatment, she guided her clients to achieving what truly matters to them.

Lin began working with Advance in 2021. She has a strong passion for pain management, and she is a strong advocate for multi-disciplinary care for pain management. She believes that pain management does not necessarily mean getting rid of the pain, but managing it so that it is not limiting the enjoyment of everyday life. She strives to provide the evidence-based support to empower her clients toward long-term self-management.

Lin is a member of the Australian Pain Society. She can also speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese.

Lin enjoys hiking and photography, hitting the gym, playing the guitar, or making a good meal for herself and her loved ones when she has some free time.
