Mitra is a registered psychologist having completed her Masters of Applied Psychology (Community Psychology) at Victoria University. Mitra has an interest in working with culturally diverse clients, having case managed refugee and asylum seeker clients' resettlement over a period of five years. She has completed research in psychological help-seeking behaviour amongst an ethnic group in Melbourne as well as positive parenting practices of African migrants. Mitra speaks conversational Farsi.

Mitra has experience in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is interested in Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is keen about the practice of mindfulness for mental health and overall wellbeing. Mitra aims to provide a caring environment for clients and incorporates a collaborative, client-centred, holistic approach.
