Mairead is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Nutritionist with a comprehensive background in addressing both acute and chronic illnesses, specializing in chronic pain management. Mairead graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Masters in Dietetic Practice. Mairead has gained valuable experience in prominent Melbourne hospitals, managing acutely ill patients to meet nutritional requirements and enhance recovery outcomes.

In her journey beyond university, Mairead has extended her expertise to private practice, refining her skills in addressing chronic illnesses. She employs individualized and evidence-based nutrition education to enhance patient quality of life and alleviate burden of disease. Currently specializing in chronic pain management, Mairead explores with her patients the intricate link between pain and nutrition, adeptly managing diet-related complexities.

Passionate about adopting a non-diet approach, Mairead aims to empower her patients with the knowledge and skills to make intuitive, sustainable, and healthy food choices, ultimately improving pain outcomes and overall quality of life. Working collaboratively with clients, she nurtures sustainable dietary changes, encourages intuitive eating patterns, and dispels nutrition myths to facilitate optimal outcomes. Mairead recognizes the significance of fostering healthy relationships with food, emphasizing the dual purpose of nourishing the body and finding enjoyment in eating.

Beyond her role as a Dietitian, she finds joy in recreating culinary creations by her favourite chef, Ottolenghi, along with outdoor runs and hiking.
