Tim is a registered psychologist, with a keen interest in the connection between physical and mental health.  Trained as a neuropsychologist, he has experience in assessing and treating people with brain disorders that impact memory, attention, learning, problem solving, language and decision-making (i.e. dementia and stroke). Tim began working at Advance in 2021.

Because neuropsychological conditions can worsen or improve with time and treatment, neuropsychological assessment can provide a baseline to track any changes.  Tim uses the assessment process to help predict and improve educational, vocational, and social outcomes.  Treatment is then based on the individual’s specific circumstances and takes into account their unique psychological needs.  His therapeutic style utilises evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).  Tim seeks to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where the client-therapist relationship is based on collaboration, trust, and respect.  In his spare time Tim enjoys bike-riding, learning French, and following Aussie Rules Football.
